Resisting 50 years
50 years since the 6 day war. Marking one of the many scars in time and land. Histories and people deleted from memory. A trajectory of diaspora, ethnic cleansing, and occupation 50 years in the future.
To remember is to resist. On June 10th, 2017 we remembered. Our uniform was black. Fragile grenades holding olive pits as ammunition. We will not succumb, we will not succumb, we will not succumb. Remember this day.
We marked the scene of the protest with protest signs, 50 broken porcelain grenades, and olive pits.
